Two leading energy companies, GMR Green Energy Limited, the renewable arm of the GMR Group, and U-Solar Clean Energy Solutions, a Bengaluru-based solar EPC and RESCO company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to execute their 250 MWp pipeline of solar projects across multiple states in India within the next 2 years.
The MoU will enable the companies to collaborate on developing solar photovoltaic power plants across the country, both on rooftops and on the ground, in onsite and offsite modes, to achieve their sustainable energy goals.
With GMR’s investment into the infrastructure projects and U-Solar’s strong business origination and development team, the collaboration has enabled both companies in creating a win-win situation whereby energy consumers can benefit from working with leaders in the market.
To initiate the partnership GMR and U-Solar will work towards deployment of 50 MWp project in Maharashtra and 100+ MWp project in Orissa respectively. Additionally U-Solar will work on pure Capex projects for GMR Group through the Renewable Energy business unit.
