The “Integration of Renewable Energy Technologies in Buildings in India” webinar series, organized in collaboration with the BEEP-RE project funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) , aimed to share insights on the selected renewable energy technologies for efficient integration of renewable energy technologies to buildings. This series, spanning four months from February 17th, 2023, to May 12th, 2023, consisted of six online RE-Tech talk webinars, with one talk every two weeks, where renewable energy experts from U-Solar shared in-depth knowledge on the subject.
A diverse group of approximately 193 participants, including representatives from various building sectors, students, consultants, and experts, registered for these webinars.
By integrating renewable energy into buildings, there is a significant potential to enhance the design of energy-efficient and high-performance structures. This, in turn, contributes to a reduction in the carbon footprint of buildings by minimizing energy requirements from conventional sources. Building-integrated renewable sources harness local resources, reduce distribution losses, and leverage the extensive surface area available on different types of buildings.
Through this webinar series, BEEP-RE, in partnership with U-Solar Clean Energy, has successfully fulfilled its project objectives by disseminating knowledge and generating awareness about the selected RE technologies. This not only aligns with U-Solar’s commitment to sustainable energy but also contributes to the broader goal of advancing renewable energy integration in Indian building infrastructure.
